OKAY GALAGHER, IF NOT THE GRITS NOR THE TORIES ...WHAT THEN?

Before I disclose which Party I would be prepared to support, permit me to review for a minute just how I see myself...politically speaking that is.

Surprise, surprise...I view myself as a 'Real Conservative', that is to say both a Fiscal Conservative as well as a Social Conservative.  Each complement the other and those that consider themselves to be one and not the other are simply letting the Team down.

To cut to the chase, I believe in small governments with no debt nor deficit and I believe in the core family...wife, husband and children as being the corner stone of society...always has been and always will be.

In Canada though the Conservative Party at both the Federal Level and the Ontario Level (our largest province) are merely Liberal Lites.  And it could easily be argued that it would be better to vote for the Real Liberals rather than for the Conservative Pretenders.

And in that regard, I have always believed that it is much better to lose than it is to deny one's principles and win for the sole sake of winning.

And further, I believe our country has in recent times gone down the Progressive Road simply because Real Conservatives have consistently dropped the ball by opting for the convenient over promoting and defending what they earnestly believe is the right thing to do.

When this occurs, two things happen, the Conservatives abandon their core principles and in so doing, deny the electorate a viable and most needed alternative.

Two examples:

First, in regard to the Fiscal Conservatives...Green Energy not only does it waste tons of taxpayers' money, it handcuffs business in its ability to compete with world.  And the sad truth is,our misguided efforts are ineffective in preventing or even stalling climate change one iota.

Second, in regard to Social Conservatives...Canada ranks with only a few other countries, most notably China and Russia in not having any restrictions on abortion.  In these select (?) countries, abortion can and does take place right up to the time of birth.  And contrary to popular opinion, Polling shows when this is pointed out to Canadians, the vast majority are aghast and favour realistic restrictions like those in place in the majority of the World's Humanitarian Nations.

Simply stated, Canada is in desperate need of a Real Conservative Party.  One that can be considered home by Social and Fiscal Conservatives alike.

Sadly no such Party currently exists.

And until that time arrives, I will be parking my vote with the Libertarian Party of Canada.  At least that Party has core values that do not fluctuate with the wind.

As I see It...
